Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Place connecting rod (4) in position in piston body (3) with the number identification on the same side as the Mark "V" on the top of the piston.
Install piston pin (5) and retaining rings (2).
Use Tooling (A) to install piston rings (1) on piston body (3). Position the piston ring gaps at 120 degrees away from each other. Refer to Specifications, "Piston and Rings" for more information. End By:
Install the pistons and connecting rods.
