This Program must be administered assoon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10297" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI10297" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code.PROBLEM
The ECM software needs to be upgraded on certain3508B, 3512B, and 3516B Marine Engines. TheECM does not detect Air Shutoff Switches, which will not allow the shutoffsto function, nor be able to detect malfunction, which will result in apotential fire hazard. Also, new software eliminates undesired starterengagement during an OFF/RESET operation.AFFECTED PRODUCT

Reflash the existing primary and secondary softwareconsistent with the attached matrix. Air shutoff installed/not installedno longer exists. Instead we ask for the configuration parameter "Air ShutoffDetect" to the following: 4096-installed or 4352-not installed. For CATElectronic Technician version (ET), 2003B, you will need to program thecode. For ET 2004A, the parameter is not flexed and will show up as installed/notinstalled.
