Remove bearing (6) and piston (7) from plate assembly (3).

Remove block assembly (8) from pump housing (5).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Use Tooling (B) to remove ring (12).
Remove spacer (11), spring (10) and spacer (9) from block assembly (8).

Remove the retaining ring and pins (13) from block assembly (8).

Remove pivot (14) from the swashplate.

Remove spider (15) and pistons (16) from the swashplate as a unit. Note: If the pistons are removed from the spider, mark the location of the pistons in the spider for installation purposes.
If necessary, remove pistons (16) from spider (15).

Use Tooling (A) to remove ring (17) from pump housing (5).

Use a soft hammer to remove shaft (18) from pump housing (5).

Remove seal (25) and washer (24) from shaft (18).
Use Tooling (D) to remove ring (23).
Remove race (22), bearing (21) and race (20) from shaft (18).
Use Tooling (D) to remove ring (19) from shaft (18).

Use Tooling (B) to remove retainers (26) and (35) from both sides of pump housing (5).
Remove covers (27) and (34) from pump housing (5). Remove seals (28) and (33) from pump housing (5).
Remove bearings (29) and (32) from pump housing (5). Remove races (30) and (31) from pump housing (5).

Remove swashplate (36) from pump housing (5).
Remove the button and the pin from swashplate (36).

Remove collar (37) and spring (38) from pump housing (5).
Remove collar (37) from spring (38).

Use Tooling (C) to remove the bearing from the pump housing.
