Cat® Detect for Object Detection may conflict IP address with telematics on certain machines that are listed above. This issue may appear when retrofit telematics are installed with a monitor display (Color Multi-Purpose Display (CMPD)) stand-alone.Note: This issue may be visible in Object Detection v3.5.1 and older. VIMS 3G or earlier versions are not affected.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but a permanent repair has not been identified. As an interim action, disconnect the monitor display (CMPD) from the Ethernet communication to upgrade the telematics. Once the telematics are upgraded, the Ethernet communication to the monitor display (CMPD) can be restored.
