Test Preparation
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move throttle switch (3) into the LOW-IDLE position.
If necessary, move ECO switch (4) to the OFF position.

If the machine is equipped with a leveling blade, use blade control pedal (5) to lower the blade to the ground.

After the engine has operated at low idle for 5 minutes, move engine start switch (6) to the OFF position.

Unhook latch (7) at the rear of the engine compartment and open engine hood (8).

Move hood support bracket (9) in order support engine hood (8).

Remove three bolts (10) and washers. Remove right side panel (11).

Loosen locknut (15) securing cable (14) to bracket (16).

Remove cotter pin (19) and clevis pin (17) from clevis (18)

Remove bolts (20) from rod ends (21).
Remove synchronization linkage (23).
Allow control levers (22) to center. The control levers should be parallel to each other.
Adjust length of synchronization linkage (23) so rod ends (21) align with control levers (22).Note: Do not change the position of control levers (22) when bolts (20) are installed in rod ends (21). The control levers should not move when the link is installed.
Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.Note: A click should be felt or heard when propel lever (1) is moved into the NEUTRAL position.
Secure rod ends (21) to control levers (22) with bolts (20).

Align clevis (18) to control lever (22). The holes in the clevis should align with the hole in the control lever. If the holes do not align, readjust the clevis and cable.
Loosen locknut (24). Turn clevis (18) as necessary to align the holes.

If the holes in the clevis cannot be aligned with the hole in the control lever, adjust position of cable (14) with locknut (25). Tighten the locknut.
Install clevis pin (17). Do not install cotter pin (19) until all the adjustments have been completed and verified.
Tighten locknut (15) to secure cable (14).Note: When securing cable (14), the cable must not move clevis (18) or control lever (22) out of the NEUTRAL position.
Use a marker pen to make a mark on the cable next to the cable housing. Use the mark to measure the cable travel. Cable (14) should extend and retract an equal distance. The cable travel in each direction should be approximately 25.4 mm (1 inch).
Install cotter pin (19) in clevis pin (17).
Position left side panel (13). Secure with three bolts (12) and washers.
Position right side panel (11). Secure with three bolts (10) and washers.
Move hood support bracket (9) into the storage position.
Close engine hood (8) and secure latch (7).
