Introduction
The negative flow signal causes the main pump flow to be reduced when an implement or travel function is not being used. The negative flow control signal reduces main pump flow when a pilot control lever is partially shifted and full pump flow is not required. When pilot control lever or travel pedal is shifted completely, the negative flow control signal is blocked by the main control valve spool and no negative signal is sent to the main pump regulator.This test provides for checking and adjusting the negative flow control regulation of the main pumps. Results:* OK - STOP.* NOT OK - Adjust negative flow control of each pump with adjusting screw at the pump pressure and flow compensator valve. If valve cannot be adjusted to provide the correct flow for each negative flow control signal, it may be necessary to make repairs to the pressure and flow compensator valve. Check the valve for weak or broken spring or sticking piston. STOP.
