MINI HYD EXCAVATOR,
Information:
Walk Around Inspection
For your own protection, and maximum service life of the machine, make a thorough walk-around inspection before mounting the machine or starting the engine. Look for such items as loose bolts, trash build-up, oil, fuel, or coolant leaks, condition of cutting edges and inflation and condition of tires. 1. Inspect tires for proper inflation.
Operating with improperly inflated tires can cause excessive wear or heat build-up. This can result in blow outs.
Contact your tire dealer for recommended tire pressure for your job conditions.
Use self attaching air chuck and stand behind tread of tire when inflating.
2. Check differential and final drive oil level. Level should be between ADD and FULL marks on dipstick. 3. Observe hydraulic oil level. With bowl lowered and machine level, oil should be between ADD and FULL marks on sight glass. 4. Check engine oil level. Oil should be in SAFE STARTING RANGE on ENGINE STOPPED side of dipstick. 5. Check radiator coolant level. With engine cold, maintain level to within 1/2 inch (1 cm) of bottom of fill pipe. 6. Inspect air inlet screen for accumulation of dust and debris. Clean if necessary. 7. Observe air filter service indicator. Have air cleaner serviced if red piston is in the visible position. 8. Check fuel level. Tank should be full at the beginning of each shift. 9. Drain moisture and sediment from fuel tank. 10. Drain moisture and sediment from 3 tractor air reservoirs. 11. Drain moisture and sediment from 1 scraper air reservoir.
