The most common work tool used on this system is a hammer (1)     Work tool does not function     Check the hydraulic circuit pilot pressure (F2 and f2 stem line). See Testing and Adjusting, RENR5509, "312C and 312CL Excavators Hydraulic System", "Relief Valve (Pilot) - Test and Adjust" or Testing and Adjusting, RENR5519, "315C and 315CL Excavators Hydraulic System", "Relief Valve (Pilot) - Test and Adjust".    
Check the circuit for the solenoid valve. See Troubleshooting, "Solenoid Valve (Work Tool)".
Work tool motion is too quick Check for the proper flow rate programmed in the monitor. See Testing and Adjusting, "Work Tool Parameter - Program".    
Check the work tool pressure switch. See Troubleshooting, "Pressure Switch (Work Tool)".
Check the flow control valve. See Testing and Adjusting, "System 11 Prime: Solenoid Valve (Proportional Reducing) - Calibrate".
Check that the solenoid valve for flow control is operating properly. See Testing and Adjusting, "Solenoid Valve (Proportional Reducing) - Output Test".
Work tool motion is too slow Check the flow control valve (NFC). See Testing and Adjusting, "System 11 Prime: Solenoid Valve (Proportional Reducing) - Calibrate".    
Check that the work tool pressure switch is operating properly. See Troubleshooting, "Pressure Switch (Work Tool)".

Check that the solenoid valve for flow control is operating properly. See Testing and Adjusting, "Solenoid Valve (Flow Control) - Output Test".
AEC is not turned OFF by the operation of the work tool Check that the work tool pressure switch is operating properly. See Troubleshooting, "Pressure Switch (Work Tool)".    
Double Action, One Pump

The most common work tool for this system is a thumb. (2)     Work tool does not open or shut completely     Check the hydraulic circuit pilot pressure (f2 stem line).
