Turn the key start switch and the disconnect switch for the machine to the OFF position.
Disconnect the harness from the knuckle connector on the right side.
Measure the resistance between pin "B" and pin "F".Expected Result:The resistance measurement is less than 5.0 ohms. Results:
OK - The resistance is less than 5.0 ohms. The machine harness is correct. Proceed to Test Step 3.
NOT OK - The resistanceis greater than 5000 ohms. The resistance measurement is not correct. There is an open circuit in the machine harness.Repair: The open is in wire T744-WH of the machine harness. Repair the machine harness or replace the machine harness.STOPTest Step 3. CHECK THE CONNECTOR FOR AN OPEN.
Make the following measurement at the knuckle connector on the left side. Measure the resistance between pin "B" and pin "F".Expected Result:The resistance is less than 5.0 ohms. Results:
OK - The resistance is greater than 5000 ohms. The machine harness is correct. Proceed to Test Step 4.
NOT OK - The resistance is less than 5000 ohms. The resistance measurement is not correct. There is a short circuit in the connector.Repair: Contact "B" is shorted to wire T744-WH of the machine harness. Repair the connector or replace the connector that is located on the right hand side of the knuckle connectors.STOPTest Step 4. CHECK IF THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE REMAINS.
