Information:
Use the lifting bar provided on the linkage to lift objects. Lifting capacities are calculated from this point. Adjust to this accordingly. If the lifting bar is used, the connection must be made by means of a sling or shackle. An unstable condition can exist if a load exceeds the machine load rating or, if a heavy load is swung over an end or side. Picking up a load over a corner is the most stable position. For the best stability, carry a load close to the machine and close to the ground. Lift capacity decreases as the distance from the swing centerline is increased.Feller Buncher Operation
The feller buncher is designed to saw, swing, and bunch trees. The machine can handle trees with a maximum diameter of 51 cm (20 in).
Lifting capacities will vary when the machine is not level.
For operator comfort and longer undercarriage life, avoid traveling over stumps.Feather the controls especially when handling a load.
To prevent disc damage, operate only boom and stick functions while sawing the tree. Do not operate the bucket function while cutting the tree.
1. Approach a tree with the saw frame vertical.2. If the tree is leaning to one side, tilt the frame to the same angle. Also, move the saw tip up of down to position the disc and grapple if a tree is leaning away from the machine. 3. Engage the tree just above the flare at the bottom.4. For the best stability, keep the machine as close to the tree as possible.5. Be sure that the disc is at recommended speed before making the cut.pg>> 65.1 6. Close the grapple arms completely after the tree has been sawed.7. Tipping the frame back to bread a tree off is not recommended. It should not be necessary if the saw teen are sharp and the disc is at proper speed before the cut is made. 8. Use boom raise to lift the tree from the stump. The tree should lean slightly toward the machine, but not over the operator.Swinging and Bunching
1. Bring the tree close to the machine for the best stability.2. Keep the tree just high enough to clear obstacles. To prevent entangling the sawed tree in the tops of standing trees, saw the trees closest to where they will be bunched first. 3. Operate the swing control smoothly to avoid an unstable condition. 4. If traveling with a tree is necessary, feather the travel pedals to avoid sudden movements. 5. To unload a tree, tip the saw frame forward. 6. Release the accumulator and clamps as the tree falls, allowing the tree to drop to the ground. Gripping the tree until it hits the ground can damage the machine and saw.Felling and Bunching Methods
The most efficient method is to operate along the face of the stand, laying the trees out into the open with the butts close together. By dropping trees in bunches, skidder production time is improved by reducing loading time. When an open space is not available, move into
