A Tube with an inside diameter of 31 mm (1.22 inch) 1
Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Position retainer (1) on sensor rotor (3), as shown.
Position ball bearing (2) on sensor rotor (3). Use Tooling (A) and a suitable hydraulic press in order to install ball bearing (2) to sensor rotor (3).

Install retaining ring (4) in the groove on sensor rotor (5).

Position housing (6), as shown. Rotate the retainer so that the flat edge (8) is positioned directly over opening (7) in the housing.
Install the four bolts and the washers that hold the retainer to housing (6).

Install O-ring seal (9) on speed sensor (10).
Extend the cap on speed sensor (10) to a distance of 6.5 mm (0.26 inch).
Install speed sensor (10) to housing (6). Tighten speed sensor (10) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft). End By:
Install the transmission speed sensor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Speed Sensor (Transmission) - Remove".
