Description of Change: The new jacket water elbow and tube assembly are more robust to relative motion.Adaptable To: The new 446-0380 Elbow and 446-0378 Tube As replace the existing 390-7470 Elbow and 375-7973 Tube. The new elbow and tube assembly are adaptable back to first production on the serial numbers listed above. Refer to Table 1 for a list of part numbers needed to install the new elbow and tube assembly.

Drain jacket water coolant into suitable container for reuse or disposal.
Remove the 390-7470 Elbow and 375-7973 Tube from the engine. Set aside all brackets and hardware for reuse.Note: Do not remove the water pump flange.

Install elbow (2) and one O-ring into existing water pump flange.
Install one ring (1) and one O-ring (7) onto tube assembly (3) .
Insert tube assembly (3) into elbow (2) .
Secure tube assembly (3) to elbow (2) with one flange (4), two bolts (5), and two washers (6) .

Attach tube assembly (3) to the 216-2285 Tube Joint with one seal (9) .
Reinstall all mounting brackets and hardware loosely.
Secure all components once reassembled.
