1. Arc and grind out original weld between rack back stop (A) and bucket. Leave some top and bottom weld on to hold rack back stop in place for Step 5. See Illustration 1.2. Clean and prepare base metal on bucket and rack back stop.3. Inspect for and repair cracks.4. Tilt bucket to a favorable position to facilitate welding.5. Reweld rack back stop (A) with a 14 mm (.55 in) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (.06 in) penetration all around the rack back stop (A).6. Use the chart to determine the correct U-shaped plate (B).7. Remove paint and prepare area around rack back stop to attach U-shaped plate (B).

Apply a 16 mm (.63 in) fillet over 14 mm (.55 in) bevel weld around inside of U-shaped plate (B) from location DD to location EE as shown in Illustration 2 and Illustration 3.10. Apply a 16 mm (.63 in) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (.06 in) penetration around the outside of the U-shaped plate (B) from location DD to location EE.11. Clean and paint rework area.
