(7HR) Wheel LoadersGuided Diagnostics for the 992G Wheel Loaders are available on the Service Information System (SIS) in the June CD-ROM. Guided Diagnostics is the segment of SIS that provides the software required for performance of interactive diagnostics and troubleshooting. Symptom Based Guided Diagnostics are available for the Implement System. Service Code Guided Diagnostics are available for the Engine, Vital Information Display System (VIDS)/Vital Information Management System (VIMS), Power Train, and Implement System.
To access Guided Diagnostics for the 992G Wheel Loaders through SIS, select the "Guided Diagnostics" button. You must then enter the machine serial number or prefix. To work with Symptom Based Guided Diagnostics, select the "Symptom Entry" button. This will produce a list of symptoms. The symptoms are categorized by system as well as diagnostic codes (service codes). Once a symptom or group of symptoms are selected from the list, procedures for repairing that symptom or symptoms are provided.
Service code troubleshooting procedures can also be accessed by selecting the "Diagnostic Code Procedure" button. This will generate a list of service codes. After selecting the appropriate service code, the diagnostic software will lead the user through a series of tests to troubleshoot and correct any active service codes.
