Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. If the engine does not start, allow the starter to cool for two minutes before cranking again. The engine start switch must be turned to the OFF position before trying to restart.

Move propel control (2) to the NEUTRAL position.
Push parking brake switch (3) toward the right of the machine.

Pull throttle control (4) upward to the LOW throttle detent position.
Turn key (5) to the ON position.
Press the switch for the glow plug for 20 seconds to heat the glow plugs.Note: If the engine is already warm from previous operation, the glow plugs do not need to be heated.
Briefly sound the horn before you start the engine.
To crank the engine, turn key (5) to the START position. When the engine starts, release the key.Note: Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine and Machine warmup" for further information.
