1. Use tool (A) to remove filter (6) from the fuel filter base.2. Remove bolt (1) that holds the clip to the fuel injection pump, and disconnect tube assembly (2) from the fuel filter base. Plug and cap all openings to prevent debris from entering the system.3. Put identification marks on wires (5), and disconnect them from the sending unit.4. Remove the bolt from wiring harness support clip (4). Position the wiring harness clear of the fuel filter base.5. Remove bolts (3) and the fuel filter base.6. Check the condition of the gasket located between the fuel filter base and the engine. Replace the gasket with a new one if needed.7. Install the fuel filter and fuel filter base in the reverse order of removal.
