Inject ether ONLY while cranking the engine. Use the ether sparingly. Excessive ether can cause piston and ring damage. Use ether for cold starting purposes only. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Starting with Ether Starting Aid" for further information.

The ether starting aid (button) is located on the front dash and the button is on the left side of the operator.
Ether Starting Aid - The ether starting aid is required during cold weather operation. While you crank the engine, depress the button in order to inject a premeasured amount of ether into the air intake. Note: Ether will automatically be injected when the ambient conditions call for ether.

The starting aid for the scraper is located on the operator's panel at the rear of the machine.Note: The starting aid for the tractor and the starting aid for the scraper function in the same manner.
