Install spring (24), spring (25), retainer (26), and retaining ring (27) onto spool (23).

Install spool (23) and spring (22) into valve body (13).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install one retainer (21), spring (20), the other retainer (21), and retaining ring (19) onto spool (18).

Install spool (18) and stop (17) into valve body (13).

Position cover (16) and install bolts (15) onto valve body (13). Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).

Position valve body (13) onto plate (14).

Position manifold (9) onto valve body (13).
Install bolts (11) into manifold (9). Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft).
Install plug (12) into manifold (9).
Install connectors (10) into manifold (9).
Use the following procedure in order to assemble the manifold.

Install O-ring seals (8) and the backup rings onto cartridge assembly (7). Repeat this step for the remaining cartridge assemblies (7).

Install cartridge assembly (7) onto manifold (4). Tighten cartridge assembly (7) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).
Position coil assembly (6) and the washer onto cartridge assembly (7). Install locknut (5). Tighten locknut (5) to a torque of 9.0 0.5 N m (79.66 4.43 lb in).
Repeat Steps 24.b through 24.c for the remaining solenoid valves.
Install harness assembly (2) onto manifold (4).

Position manifold (4) and harness assembly (2).
Install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft).
Connect clips (1) that hold harness assembly (2). End By:
Install the transmission control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Control Valve - Install".
