Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "All Products Air Conditioning and Heating R-134a for All Caterpillar Machines" for the recovery and the charging procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Open right side door assembly (1).

Remove clip (2) and nut (4). Disconnect cable assembly (3).

Disconnect ground strap (6) and hose assemblies (5).

Remove clip (7) and disconnect harness assembly (8).

Open left side door assembly (9).

Disconnect hose assemblies (10) and (11).

Remove support assemblies (12) and floor mat (13).

Remove bolts (14) and plate assembly (15).

Disconnect harness assemblies (16), (17), and (20). Disconnect hose assemblies (18). Remove clips (19).

Remove screws (21) and cover (22).

Remove bolt (23). Repeat for the opposite side.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cab (25). The weight of cab (25) is approximately 807 kg (1780 lb). Remove cab (25).Installation Procedure
Install cab (25) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten screws (21) to a torque of 3 1 N m (27 9 lb in).
