The 451-3209 Fuel Tank on certain CB64B, CB66B, and CB68B Asphalt Compactors may leak due to a manufacturing issue. The leak appears on the left side of the machine, in the fuel tank pocket.Solution
The permanent corrective action is to replace the leaking fuel tank with a new 451-3209 Fuel Tank.Use the below procedure as an interim solution to stop leaking.Temporary Repair Procedure

2 1 7X-0818 Bolt Use the required parts to assemble a temporary plug for the leaking fuel tank pocket.

Remove the key bolt from the 388-4934 Filler Cap (1) and install the 7X-0818 Bolt (2). Tighten the bolt until the metal plate contacts the rubber part of the plug. Tighten the bolt 8 full turns to expand the plug.
Move the machine to a hard level work surface.
Turn off the machine. Lock out the machine for service.
To reduce the weight of the fuel tank, drain the fuel into a suitable container.

Remove the bolts from the fuel tank strap and pry the tank upwards.

Place supports under the tank. Be careful not to damage the fittings and tubes under the tank.

Locate the leaking pocket.

Install the plug fully into the leaking pocket. Tighten the bolt 2 extra turns. The plug should fit firmly in the pocket and not be able to rotate by hand.
Remove the supports from the fuel tank. Lower the tank into position. Reinstall the tank strap.
Fill the tank with fuel to a level above the plug.
Test drive the machine for 30 minutes then inspect for leaks at the plug. If no leaks are found, return the machine to service.
