When using the telemetry port on a Large Off-Highway Truck, the value of the hour meter (SMU) reports as incorrect.Solution
The permanent solution is included in a software update that is targeted for release by the end of 2015. Until this software is released, the following interim corrective action should be used.The byte order of the hour meter value parameter is backwards. To convert the hour meter value, the order needs to be reversed, for example:Note: This information is used for third-party systems to correctly parse the Telemetry message that contains the service meter hour.
SMU Message: FF FF 00 04 98 4F 25 02 5C 97 C0
Extract the hour meter from the message: 98 4F 25 02
Reverse the order to: 02 25 4F 98
Convert to decimal: 02254F98 HEX to DEC 35999640
Divide by 60sec and 60mins to obtain hours: 35999640/3600 = 9999.9hrs
