2. Remove the outer fuel lines (1) from engine.3. Remove valve cover base mounting bolts. Remove valve cover base.4. Remove mounting bolts (2) from exhaust manifold adapter.5. Remove oil from filter base. Remove oil filter and case (5). Remove turbocharger lubrication line (3). 6. Remove four water temperature regulator bypass line mounting bolts (9).7. Remove water temperature sending unit (6) from the cylinder head.8. Remove heater hose (4) from head.9. Remove water vent line from regulator housing.10. Remove radiator inlet pipe (7) from top of radiator tank.11. Remove fuel ratio control sensing line from cylinder head.12. Remove vent tube and wiring hold down clamps (10) from cylinder head.13. Remove air inlet pipe (8).14. Remove cylinder head mounting bolts.15. Cover all openings to turbocharger. Put a plug or cover on all fuel lines and openings. 16. Install four 3/8"-16NC forged eyebolts (11) in top of cylinder head. Fasten a hoist and remove cylinder head assembly-weight 500 lbs. (226 kg). Always install a new gasket between spacer plate and cylinder block before installing cylinder head assembly. See topic INSTALL SPACER PLATE.Install Cylinder Head
1. Be sure the top surface of spacer plate and mating surface of cylinder head is clean before installing head gasket and water seals.2. Install four 3/8"-16NC forged eyebolts. Fasten a hoist and install the cylinder head assembly.3. Put lubricant on the cylinder head mounting bolts and tighten bolts in the following step sequence: 1 Tighten all bolts in number sequence to 200 lb.ft. (27,6 mkg).2 Again tighten all bolts in number sequence to 330 10 lb.ft. (45,6 1,4 mkg).3 Hand tighten all bolts in number sequence to 330 10 lb.ft. (45,6 1,4 mkg).4. Remove all tape, caps and plugs.5. Install air inlet pipe.6. Install vent tube and wiring hold down clamps on head.7. Connect fuel ratio control sensing line.8. Connect radiator inlet pipe to top of radiator tank.9. Connect water vent line to regulator housing.10. Connect heater hose to head.11. Install water temperature sending unit.12. Install water temperature bypass line mounting bolts.13. Install turbocharger lubrication line. Install oil filter and case.14. Install mounting bolts in exhaust manifold adapter.15. Connect fuel injection lines to fuel injection pump and head.16. Install valve cover base. Connect glow plug wiring to outside valve cover base. Install valve cover base mounting bolts and connect outer fuel lines. Tighten all fuel lines to 30 5 lb.ft. (4,1 0,7 mkg).end by: a) install camshafts
