Park the machine on a smooth, level surface.Lower the work tool to the ground. Engage the parking brake before activating the Implement Hydraulic Service Mode of the machine.Keep personnel off the machine. Clear the area under the implement linkage or around the implement linkage. If the machine is in the Implement Hydraulic Service Mode and the work tool is off of the ground, do not place the control levers into the FLOAT position. Placing the levers in the FLOAT position will cause the work tool linkage to immediately fall.Personal injury or death can result from falling work tool linkage.
The service mode for the implement hydraulics is used for certain test and adjustment procedures. Only the basic functions of the lift and tilt circuits will operate in this mode.Note: All advanced implement control features will be disabled in this service mode. The kickouts, the cylinder snubbing, and the dump rate control are features of the implement control that will be disabled. However, the float control will remain enabled. If the lift control lever is placed in the FLOAT position and the implement hydraulic service mode is active, the lift linkage will immediately lower.
