Apply a thin coat of 3M sealer EC - 1137 to the outside diameter and inside diameter of the exhaust manifolds. Remove excess sealer from the assembled joint. (2) Torque for taperlock studs ... 38 5 N m (28 4 lb ft)Note: Use assembly spacers at positions 11, 7 and 9 to align the exhaust manifolds. Remove the assembly spacers before final assembly.Note: Before assembly, lubricate the threads and the bearing surface of the locknuts with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound.
