Removal Procedure
Hydraulic accumulator contains gas and oil under high pressure. Improper removal or repair procedures could cause severe injury. To remove or repair, instructions in the service manual must be followed. Special equipment is required for testing and charging.
Personal injury can result from the sudden release of high pressure oil.Be sure the engine has been shut off for a minimum of five minutes to ensure that the accumulator pressure is zero.The accumulator is filled with dry nitrogen. Do not loosen or remove the valve or the cap from the top of the accumulator.

Disconnect wire assemblies (2) and hose assemblies (3).
Remove bolts (1) and electric drive pump (4).

Remove bracket (5). Remove relief valve (6). Installation Procedure
Install electric drive pump (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Purge the air from the hydraulic oil in the brake hydraulic system. Refer to Air System and Brakes, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Brake System Air - Purge" for the correct procedure.
