Assembly Procedure

Install new bearing (14).
Install new fixed friction plate assembly (13). Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 136 N m (100 lb ft).

Place pressure plate (5) on the work table with the friction surface facing up and lower output assembly (6) onto pressure plate (5) with the friction plate facing up.

Install separator plate (7) onto the output hub friction plate assembly.
Install friction plate assembly (8) with the holes engaging pins in the output hub.

Install separator plate (9) and friction plate assembly (10) with holes engaging dowel pins in the output hub.

Lower input hub (11) onto the friction plate assembly with the torque pins passing through the two smaller holes with the separator plate. Install spring cup bolts (15) and ensure proper spring placement. Refer to Illustration 7. R = Red, B = Blue, W = White. Secure the spring cup bolts (15) with nuts (4). Turn the torque limiting coupling over. The weight of the torque limiting coupler is approximately 79 kg (175 lb).

Tighten nuts (4) to a torque of 68 N m (50 lb ft).

Install shield (3) and screws (2), onto torque limiting coupler (1).End By:
