Cab Floor (1) Pedal (2) Mounting screw (3) Segment (7) Adjustment ScrewThe brake pedal is located to the right of the steering column. The brake pedal includes pedal (1), base plate (10), segment (3), pin (11) and deflection plate (12) .When the brake pedal is depressed, pin (11) is pushed downward by segment (3). Pin (11) is supported by spring washer (4) that is resting on spring (6). The pin is inserted in plate (5). The segment therefore moves the pivoting deflection plate against the force of spring (6). The deflection plate moves the single-acting cylinder to the right. This operates the power brake valve.Screw (7) is used as a brake pedal stroke limiter. The screw adjusts the maximum allowed wheel brake pressure.For the adjustment of the brake pedal, the segment is provided with holes for the mounting screw. The pedal angle can be adjusted by positioning the screw in another hole. The normal setting is 40 degrees.Pressure Switches

Pressure switch location under cab (1) Brake light pressure switch (2) Low brake pressure switch (3) Wheel brake valve (4) Single-acting cylinderBrake light pressure switch (1) is a diaphragm type pressure switch. The switch is screwed into port "Br" of wheel brake valve (2). When the operator actuates the wheel brake valve, the brake pressure for the wheel brake is also applied to brake light pressure switch (1) .When the brake pressure reaches 500 kPa (73 psi) the pressure pushes on the diaphragm in order to actuate an electric switch. The switch activates the brake lights and the switch deactivates the travel activation solenoid. When brake pressure decreases below 500 kPa (73 psi) the electric contact interrupts the signal.Low brake pressure switch (2) is a diaphragm type pressure switch. The switch is screwed into wheel brake valve (3). If the wheel brake pressure decreases below 10000 kPa (1450 psi) the piston in the pressure switch is shifted by the force of an internal spring. The switch now activates the low brake pressure indicator.
