Removal Procedure
Start By:
Separate the track.

Use a suitable pry bar to move front idler and recoil spring (1) partially out of the track roller frame.
Attach a suitable lifting device to front idler and recoil spring (1). The weight of front idler and recoil spring (1) is approximately 284 kg (626 lb).

Reposition the suitable lifting device to support front idler and recoil spring (1).
Slide front idler and recoil spring (1) out of the track roller frame.
With the suitable lifting device still attached, turn front idler and recoil spring (1) around 180 degrees.

Install the front idler partially into the track frame. The front idler and the recoil spring will be supported by the track frame.
Reposition the suitable lifting device to support recoil spring (2).
Remove bolts (3) that hold the front idler to recoil spring (2).
Separate recoil spring (2) from the front idler. The front idler will be supported by the track frame.
The weight of recoil spring (2) is approximately 174 kg (384 lb).

Attach two suitable lifting devices to front idler (4). The weight of front idler (4) is approximately 109 kg (240 lb).
Remove front idler (4).Installation Procedure
Install front idler and recoil spring (1) in the reverse order of removal.
