Rework Procedure
Prior to starting any work on the machine, please review, understand and adhere to all safety and environmental warnings in the appropriate disassembly and assembly manual.
Inspection Procedure:
1. Move the seat forward and inspect the area behind the base of the seat. If the duct assembly is installed, no further action is required. If the duct assembly is missing, proceed to the Duct Installation Procedure.

Duct Installation Procedure:
1. Move the seat all the way forward. Tilt the seat back all the way forward. Clean the area of debris where the duct assembly will be located.

2. Move the wiring harness out of the way of the duct.

3. Install the 229-9048 Duct diagonally into the seat side vent first, then rotate downwards into the filter location.

4. Install the two 9X-2044 Screws into the filter location. Tighten the screws to a torque of 12 +/- 3 Nm (106 +/- 26 lb/in).

5. Install the 229-9028 Clip into the vent side of the duct assembly.

6. Install the 229-9047 Filter into the proper location. Note the direction arrow on the filter. The filter must be installed in the proper direction.
