At operating temperature, the oil in the hydraulic oil tank and in the hydraulic system is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Prior to disconnecting any hydraulic lines, release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Stop the engine. Move the hydraulic control levers to all positions to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Release the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank. Remove the fill cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when it is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to release the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank.
2. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by moving the hydraulic control levers to all positions. Release the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank by slowly loosening the fill cap. 3. Put identification marks on the four hoses that are connected to the leveling blade control valve for assembly purposes. Disconnect hoses (1), (2), (3) and (4) from the control valve. Put plugs in the ends of the hoses to keep dirt and debris out of the hydraulic system. Check the condition of the o-ring seals in the ends of the fittings in the control valve. If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 4. Disconnect the control linkage from the control valve. Remove cotter pin (5) and washer (6). 5. Remove three bolts (7) and the washers that hold the control valve to the mounting bracket. Remove leveling blade control valve (8). Install the leveling blade control valve in the reverse order of removal.6. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Start By:a. remove leveling blade control valve1. Thoroughly clean the outside of the control valve prior to disassembly. 2. Remove four fittings (1) and the o-ring seals from the valve body. Note that one of the fittings is a 90° elbow. Check the condition of the o-ring seals. If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 3. Remove pin (3) and lever (2) from the control valve. 4. Remove two caps (8), two springs (7) and two steel balls (6) from the float detent kit.5. Remove the two cap screws and float detent kit (4) from the valve body.
To prevent damage to valve spool assembly (10) during removal, the spool assembly should be removed by the spring end. Pull the notched end of the spool assembly through the valve body.
6. Remove valve spool assembly (10) from the valve body. Remove relief valve (15), gasket (14), spring (13), ball retainer (12) and steel ball (11) from the valve body.7. Remove o-ring seals (5) and (9) from the valve body. Check the condition of the o-ring seals. If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 8. Disassemble relief valve (15).
