Remove cover (9) from the air cleaner housing. Remove the primary element and the secondary element from the air cleaner housing.

Remove ten bolts (10) and the washers that attach air cleaner housing (11). Remove air cleaner housing (11) .

Disconnect two wires (15) from the sending unit in the transmission oil filter base.
Disconnect two hose assemblies (13) .
Disconnect three hose assemblies (16) .
Remove five bolts (14) and oil filter base (12) .

Remove eight bolts (17) and the washers. Loosen clamp (19). Remove tube assembly (18) .
Disconnect hose assemblies (20), (21), and (22) from the steering and the brake hydraulic pump.

Remove two nuts (23) and the washers. These nuts hold the steering and brake hydraulic pump in position. Remove the pump with a sling and a hoist. The weight of the steering and brake hydraulic pump is 68 kg (150 lb).

Disconnect governor control cable (25). The cable is located at the rear of the engine.
Remove governor control cable (25) from the mounting bracket. The bracket is located at the rear of the engine. Move the governor control cable out of the area above the torque converter.

Disconnect hose assemblies (26) and (28) from the transmission oil pump. Disconnect tube assembly (27) from the transfer case.
Remove two bolts (29) and the washers that hold transmission oil pump (30) in position. Remove the transmission oil pump.

Fasten lifting slings and a hoist to implement hydraulic pump (32). Remove two nuts (31) and the washers that hold the implement hydraulic pump in position. Remove the pump. The weight of the implement hydraulic pump is 98 kg (216 lb).

Disconnect hose assembly (33) from the torque converter.
Disconnect hose assembly (34) from the sequence and pressure control valve.
Disconnect cable assembly (35) from the sequence and pressure control valve.

Disconnect two wires (38) from the sequence and pressure control valve.
Remove three bolts (37) and the washers. Remove the sequence and pressure control valve.
Disconnect the wires from the torque converter outlet relief valve. Remove the wires from the clip on the valve.
Disconnect the two hose assemblies from the torque converter outlet relief valve.
Remove the three bolts and the washers that hold the torque converter outlet relief valve in position. Remove the torque converter outlet relief valve.
Disconnect hose assembly (40) from the torque converter.
Remove input drive shaft (39) from the machine.

Fasten Tooling (A) and a hoist to torque converter (41). Refer to Illustration 14.
Remove the bolt and clip (43) from the torque converter.
Remove eleven bolts (42) .
Install two 1/2" - 13 NC forcing screws in the forcing screw holes in the torque converter cover. Tighten the screws evenly in order to loosen the torque converter from the flywheel housing.
Pull the torque converter out of the flywheel housing. Remove the torque converter from the machine. The weight of the torque converter is 204 kg (450 lb).
Remove the large O-ring seal from the torque converter cover.
