1. Move the track until master pin (1) is in position shown.2. Loosen jam nut (4) on each adjusting bolt (2) located on both sides of the track. Loosen two bolts (3), also located on each side of the track, that hold the take-up assemblies to the frame. Back off adjusting bolts (2) to relieve the tension on the track.3. Remove the roll pin from one side of master pin (1) and remove the master pin. 4. Slowly back the machine up until the track is laying out flat on the ground.5. Raise the machine until drive axle (7) and driven axle (6) are clear of track (8). Install supports (5) under the front and the rear of the machine. Remove the track. Weight of the track is 227 kg (500 lb).Connection Of Tracks
1. Install tooling (A). 2. Position the track under the machine and guide the first two links up between the rear frame and the driven axle.3. Fasten tooling (B) to a stationary object. Using tooling (A) and (B), guide the track around the driven axle and onto the drive axle. 4. Start the machine and use the drive axle to pull the track around the drive axle to the position shown.5. Align the bores in the links and install master pin (1). Install the roll pin.6. Lower the machine. 7. Adjust the tension on the track as follows:a. Back the machine up a short distance to get the slack in the top side of the track.b. Place a straight edge across the top of the track. Midway between the front and the rear axles, the track should sag 19 mm (.75 in) below the straight edge. Use adjusting bolts (2) located on each side of the track to move the rear axle forward or back to obtain the correct sag.c. Tighten two bolts (3) and jam nut (4) located on each side of the track.d. Measure the distance from the center of the drive axle to the center of the driven axle on each side of the track. These measurements must be equal to insure the front and rear axles remain parallel.
