Remove the elevator drive.
Place the elevator drive on suitable cribbing before disassembly.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto speed reducer (3), as shown. Remove bolts (1). Remove sprockets (2) and speed reducer (3). The weight of speed reducer (3) is approximately 288 kg (635 lb).

Attach a suitable lifting device onto shaft assembly (5). Remove bolts (4). Remove shaft assembly (5) and sprockets (6). The weight of shaft assembly (5) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb).

Remove bolts (7). Remove cover (8) and the gasket from shaft assembly (5).

Remove bolt (9) and washer (10) from shaft assembly (5).

Attach Tooling (B), as shown. Remove housing (11) and bearing cone (12) (not shown) from shaft assembly (5).

Remove spacer (14), bearing cone (15), and lip seal (16) from shaft assembly (5).
