At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Be sure all the hydraulic pressure is released before any fittings, hoses or components are loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.
d. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.e. Carefully loosen the plugs at the rear of the tilt cylinder. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two plugs. To release the pressure in the attachment cylinders, carefully loosen the two large plugs near the plugs at the top of the loader frame. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two large plugs.f. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank.g. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. 4. Remove access cover (1) from the right side of the cab. Put identification marks on all electrical connectors and hydraulic lines for installation purposes. 5. Disconnect the nine hydraulic hoses from pilot control valve (4). Put plugs in the hoses to prevent oil loss and to keep dirt and debris out of the hydraulic system.6. Disconnect one electrical connector (3) from the valve solenoids.7. Disconnect wire (2) from the transmission downshift switch. 8. Remove lever (8) for the attachment control valve.9. Remove four socket head screws (6) that hold the attachment control valve in position. Move the attachment control valve out of the way of pilot control valve (2).10. Remove four socket head bolts (5) that hold pilot control valve (2) to the cab. Lower the pilot control valve, and remove it through the access opening in the right side of the cab.11. Remove access plate (7). This will aid in the installation of the pilot control valve. The following steps are for the installation of the pilot control valve.12. Check the condition of all O-ring seals used in the ends of the hydraulic lines that are connected to the pilot control valve. If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.13. Put pilot control valve (4) in position in the cab. Install four socket head bolts (5) which hold it.14. Put the attachment control valve in position in the cab. Install four socket head screws (6) that hold it. Reinstall lever (8) for the attachment control valve.15. Connect wire (2) to the transmission downshift switch.16. Connect electrical connector (3) to the solenoid valves.17. Connect the nine hydraulic hoses to pilot control valve (2) in their original locations.18. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.19. Start the machine, and check for leaks.20.
