Information:

25. Remove spider (32), gears and washers from the case assembly as a unit. 26. Remove washers (33) and gears (34) from the gears. 27. Remove gear (35) and the washer under it from the case assembly. 28. Remove bolts (36) that hold the case assembly to the bevel gear. 29. Fasten a hoist to the case assembly. Remove case assembly (37) from the bevel gear. The weight of the case assembly is 38 kg (84 lb). 30. Remove bearing cone (38) from the case assembly with Tooling (D).Assemble Differential and Bevel Gear
1. Heat the bearing to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install bearing cone (1) on the case assembly. 2. Install two 5/8 in - 18 NF guide pins in the bevel gears as shown. Fasten a hoist to the case assembly. Put case assembly (2) in position in bevel gear (3). Clean threads with Locquic Primer and apply Loctite 680 Loctite or similar thread lock prior to assembly. Install the bolts that hold it. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 200 20 lb ft (270 25 N m). 3. Install washer (5) and gear (4) in the case assembly. 4. Install bearings (7), gears (8) and washers (9) on spider (6). 5. Install the spider and gear assembly (10) in the case assembly. 6. Install washer (12) on the gear.7. Put gear (11) in position in the case assembly. 8. Install case (13) on the case assembly. Make sure the mark on the case is in alignment with the mark on the case assembly. Install the bolts that hold the case to the case assembly. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 195 18 lb ft (265 25 N m). 9. Heat the bearing cone to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install bearing cone (14) on the case. 10. Put carrier assembly (15) in position on Tooling (A) as shown.11. Install bearing cap (17) on the carrier.12. Install adjusting ring (18) and bearing cup (16) in the carrier assembly. 13. Install Tooling (B) on the differential as shown. Fasten a hoist to the differential. Put differential (19) in position in the carrier assembly. 14. Install bearing cap (22) on the carrier assembly.15. Install bearing cup (21).16. Install adjustment ring (20).17. Remove Tooling (B) from the differential. 18. Install O-ring seal (24) on the housing.19. Lower the temperature of the bearing cup. Install bearing cup (23) in the housing. 20. Lower the temperature of the bearing cup. Install bearing cup (25) in the housing. 21. Heat the bearing cone to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install bearing cone (27) on pinion shaft (26). 22. Install two 3/8 in - 16 NC forged eyebolts (28) in the housing. Fasten a hoist to the housing. Install housing (29) on the pinion shaft. 23. Heat the bearing cone to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install bearing cone (30) on the pinion shaft. 24. Install lip seal (31) in retainer (32) with
