(1) Radiator Top Tank (2) 308-3674 Liquid Level Sensor Assembly (3) Sensor Wiring (4) Wiring Harness
Disconnect the three wires (3) of the sensor from the wiring harness (4) .
Use a 22 mm wrench in order to remove the sensor (2) .
Clean the threads of the sensor. Remove any old sealant from the sensor threads. Remove any old sealant from the threaded port of the radiator top tank.Note: The sensor threads must be clean and dry. The threads that are in the radiator top tank must be clean and dry.
Apply a ring of 8T-9014 Silicone Sealant (5) around the first three threads of the sensor (1). Refer to Illustration 2.
Illustration 2 g01962724
Hand tighten the sensor into the radiator top tank.
Use a 22 mm torque wrench in order to tighten the sensor. Torque the sensor to 10 N m (7 lb ft).
Allow the sealant to cure for a minimum of 2 hours.Note: Follow the manufacturer's requirements in order to allow the proper time for the sealant to cure.
Fill the coolant to the required level.
Connect the wiring of the sensor to the wiring harness.
