At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
On earlier models of the CS-533C, CP-533C, CS-563C & CP-563C, the propel charge oil filter was mounted on the left side of the machine. On later models of the CS-533C, CP-533C, CS-563C & CP-563C and all CS-573C & CS-583C, the propel charge oil filter was mounted on the right side of the machine.1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly loosening the fill cap on top of the hydraulic oil tank. 2. Drain the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 118 liters (31 U.S. gal).3. Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and fitting (3) from hydraulic oil filter base (4). Cap and plug immediately.4. Remove four bolts (1), and remove hydraulic oil filter base (4) from the frame. 5. Remove two screws (5), and remove bypass indicator (7) from the hydraulic oil filter base. During assembly, apply 9S-3263 Thread Lockon the threads of the two screws. Tighten the two screws to a torque of 1.7 N m (15 lb in).Do not over tighten the screws.6. Remove filter (6) from hydraulic oil filter base (4). When installing the filter on the hydraulic oil filter base, tighten the filter to a torque of 44 3.5 N m (32.6 2.6 lb ft). For installation of the propel charge oil filter, reverse the removal steps. After the propel charge oil filter has been installed, fill the hydraulic oil tank to the correct level.
