All Caterpillar Products Equipped With 7N4350 Or 7N4351 Vacuum Switch AssembliesDescription of Change: Vibration isolators are now used with all 7N4350 and 7N4351 Vacuum Switch Assemblies on Caterpillar products so equipped. The vacuum switches are used in electrical circuits for air filter service indicators. Use of the vibration isolator as a mounting for the vacuum switch prevents possible switch damage caused by vibration in some conditions of operation, and extends the service life of the switch.Adaptable To: The 8N2242 Isolator Assembly is adaptable to all Caterpillar products that use either the 7N4350 or 7N4351 Vacuum Switch Assembly. The recommendation is to install an 8N2242 Isolator Assembly as a mounting for either the 7N4350 or 7N4351 Vacuum Switch Assembly in all applications. An A2926 Nipple (1/8 Pipe), or similar 1/8-27 NPT pipe nipple is needed for installation of the 8N2242 Isolator Assembly.
