Engine to cab harness connectors (1) Connector (3) Connector (8) Pin 38
Install the 450-5347 Wire As from pin 38 (8) of connector (1) to pin 38 (8) of connector (3). Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 2. Note: Secure the 450-5347 Wire As using 6K-0806 Straps .

Connect connector (1), connector (3), connector (4), and connector (6). Refer to Illustration 1.

Remove and retain dash assembly (11) .

Install the 450-5349 Wire As from pin 38 (16) of connector (12) to pin 5 (17) of connector (14). Refer to Illustration 6, Illustration 8, and Illustration 9.Note: Secure the 450-5349 Wire As using 6K-0806 Straps .
Connect connector (12) and connector (14). Refer to Illustration 6.
Remove and discard the film from warning lamp panel (15). Refer to Illustration 7.

Install 379-9923 Film to warning lamp panel (15). Refer to Illustration 7 and Illustration 10.
Install dash assembly (11). Refer to Illustration 5.Software - Install
Note: The latest Engine ECM software must be installed in order to complete this instruction.
Flash the Engine ECM with the latest Engine ECM software.Note: Flash files for the machine can be downloaded from SIS Web, Service Software Files.Alert Indicator

High Engine Oil Temperature (1) - This indicator will flash when the engine oil temperature is too high. When the engine temperature is too high, a Warning Category 2 will be registered by the Caterpillar Monitoring System. Stop the machine immediately and engage the parking brake. Stop the engine and investigate the cause of the fault. Do not operate the machine until the cause has been corrected. This indicator will be on for 3 seconds during powerup in order to permit the operator to know that the indicator is functioning properly. The operator must inspect this indicator during powerup. If the indicator does not come on, or glows dimly during powerup, or if the indicator remains on, find the cause immediately.
