Manual Mode - To select the gear speed, turn transmission auto/manual switch (1) to manual position (2) . Pressing upshift gear speed switch (3) will cause the machine to shift into the next highest gear.Pressing downshift gear speed switch (4) will cause the machine to shift into the next lowest gear.
Automatic Mode - The operator selects the highest desired operating speed from the options on transmission auto/manual switch (1). The control selects the proper transmission gear according to the ground speed of the machine. Downshift gear speed switch (4) is active in all gears. Downshift gear speed switch (3) can cause transmission downshifts at machine speeds that are higher than normal.Pressing downshift gear speed switch (4) will cause a downshift of one gear. The downshift will only occur if the machine speed and the engine speed will not result in an engine overspeed condition.Holding down downshift gear speed switch (4) will cause the transmission to continue to downshift as the machine speed decreases.The transmission will remain in the downshifted gear for three seconds after the downshift switch is released. Then, automatic shifting is resumed.Turn switch (1) to a selected gear speed in order to activate the autoshift function. The transmission will shift from first gear through fourth gear automatically. The highest gear that will be used is determined by the selection on the switch.As the machine slows, the transmission will automatically downshift. The transmission will not shift lower than second gear.
