Remove bolts (18) from both sides of bumper (19) and install Tooling (F) .

Remove bolts (20) from both sides of the machine.

Move bumper (19) far enough forward on Tooling (F) in order to allow a suitable lifting device to be attached to bumper (19). The weight of bumper (19) is approximately 60 kg (133 lb). Remove Tooling (F) and remove bumper (19) .

Install Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device (22). Attach clevises (21) to the tie down brackets that are under the front of the machine.

Position a suitable lift truck at the front of the machine. Install Tooling (E) on both sides of the lift truck. Use the lift truck and the suitable lifting device in order to support the machine.

Remove bolts (24) and the washers in order to remove locking plate (23) from thrust flange (25) and bearing carrier (26) .

Invert locking plate (23) and position the dowel on the locking plate into a hole in thrust flange (25). Insert a suitable 3/4 inch breaker bar into the locking plate. Use this tool in order to turn the thrust flange counterclockwise and remove the thrust flange from bearing carrier (26) .

Remove bolt (27) and washer (28) in order to remove shaft yoke (29) and the O-ring seal from bearing carrier (30) and the hitch drive shaft.

Remove bolts (31) and the washers in order to disconnect bearing carrier (26) from the hitch tube. Install Tooling (F) into the threaded holes in the bearing carrier in order to force the bearing carrier from the hitch tube. See the white arrows in Illustration 21. Remove Tooling (F) from the threaded holes.

Attach Tooling (G) and a suitable lifting device to bearing carrier (26). The weight of the bearing carrier and the hitch drive shaft is approximately 56 kg (123 lb). Remove bearing carrier (26) and the hitch drive shaft from the machine as a unit.

Use the lift truck and the suitable lifting device in order to move the truck away from the trailing unit.
