Remove the four bolts, flushing valve (8), and three O-ring seals (25) from rear cover (7) .
Disassemble flushing valve (8) by using the following procedure:
Remove plug (17), shim (18), spring (20), and relief valve poppet (21) from valve body (26). Remove orifice (22) and retainer (23) from relief valve poppet (21) .
Remove O-ring seal (19) from plug (17) .
Remove plug (14), spring (16), and guide (24) from the valve body.
Remove O-ring seal (15) from plug (14) .
Remove plug (31), spring (29), guide (28), and spool (27) from valve body (26) .
Remove O-ring seal (30) from plug (31) .
Remove the eight bolts and end cover (7) from housing (1) .
Remove control lens (5) from end cover (7) .

Remove plug (32), throttle screw (35), throttle pin (36), and throttle screw (38) from end cover (7). Remove the O-ring seal from plug (32) .
Remove plug (33), throttle screw (37), check valve shuttle (39), and throttle screw (40) from the cover. Remove the O-ring seal from plug (33) .
Remove plug (34), throttle screw (42), check valve shuttle (43), and throttle screw (44) from the end cover. Remove O-ring seal (41) from plug (34) .

Remove swivel trunnion (55) from stroking piston (58) .
Remove plug (56) and stroking piston (58) from end cover (7). Remove O-ring seal (57) from plug (56) .
Remove plug (45), spring (47), and spool (48) from end cover (7). Remove O-ring seal (46) from plug (45) .
Remove plug (50) from end cover (7). Remove O-ring seal (49) from plug (50) .
Remove retaining ring (51) and control bushing (52) from the end cover.
Remove two dowel pins (53) from end cover (7), if necessary.
Remove three O-ring seals (54) in end cover (7) .

Note: Measure the distance from the end of minimum displacement adjustment screw (2) and maximum displacement adjustment screw (12) to housing (1) before removing the adjustment screws.
Loosen nut (3) and remove minimum displacement adjustment screw (2) from housing (1) .
Loosen nut (13) and remove maximum displacement adjustment screw (12) from housing (1) .
Remove O-ring seal (6) from housing (1) .
Remove retaining ring (9), shim (10), and shaft seal (11) from housing (1) .

Remove cylinder block (67), spring (63), and spring collar (66) from pistons (64) and center pin (60). The spring and the spring collar will remain in the center hole of the block.

Position housing (1) in a press, as shown. Use the press in order to remove rotating group (4) from housing (1). In order to prevent damage to pistons (64) and shaft assembly (59), support the shaft assembly inside the housing during the removal.
Remove 14 screws (62), seven pistons (64), center pin (60), and retaining plate (65) from shaft assembly (59) .

Check seven pistons (64) at areas (X) for pitting and scratches.
Use a screwdriver to remove piston rings (61) from each of the pistons.

Check center pin (60) at areas (Y) for scratches and pitting.

Check shaft assembly (59) at areas (Z) for scratches and pitting.
