Install bearing cups (3) into wheel (2). Check the seating with a feeler gauge.
Install Duo-cone seal kit (11) in wheel (2) .
Install Duo-cone seal kit (12) on spindle (1) .
Install bearing cone (9) on hub (8). Lightly oil the bearing cones. Check the seating with a feeler gauge.
Install bearing cone (10) on spindle (1). Lightly oil the bearing cones. Check the seating with a feeler gauge.
Install wheel (2) on spindle (1) .
Install hub (8) on spindle (1) .
Use an outside micrometer to measure the thickness of retainer plate (7) at the three small holes. Calculate the average thickness and record the average thickness.
Install retainer plate (7) on spindle (1) with three bolts (5). Do not install shims (6) and do not tighten bolts (5) .Note: Use bolt holes next to the three small holes in retainer plate (7) .
Tighten three bolts (5) to 100 N m (74 lb ft) in order to seat the parts. Rotate wheel (2) for several revolutions. Torque bolts (5) again and rotate wheel (2) again.
Loosen three bolts (5) .
Tighten three bolts (5) to 25 N m (18 lb ft). Rotate wheel (2) by several revolutions and tighten three bolts (5). Repeat wheel rotation and bolt tightening until torque stays at 25 N m (18 lb ft).
Measure the depth of the three small holes in retainer plate (7) by using a depth micrometer. Record the average depth.
Find the difference between the two average measurements in Step 8 and Step 13. The difference is the gap between the end of spindle (1) and retainer plate (7) .
Remove three bolts (5) and retainer plate (7) .
Install shims (6) so that shims (6) are equal to the measurement that is found in Step 14 plus 0.200 mm (0.0079 inch).
Install retainer plate (7) and eight bolts (5). Refer to Specifications, "Final Drive, Brake, and Wheel" for the torque of bolts (5) .Rear Wheel Bearings

Install bearing cups (1) into wheel (2). Check the seating with a feeler gauge.
Install bearing cones (4) on spindle (5). Lightly oil the cones. Check the seating with a feeler gauge.
Install wheel (2) on spindle (5) .
Install locknut (3). Tighten locknut (3) until wheel (2) seizes.
Loosen locknut (3) .
Torque locknut (3) to 515 27 N m (380 20 lb ft) or torque locknut (3) to a reading of 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) on the pull scale that is attached to the lug bolt.

Install bearing cone (9) on hub (8). Lightly oil the bearing cones. Check the seating with a feeler gauge.
Install bearing cone (10) on spindle (1). Lightly oil the bearing cones. Check the seating with a feeler gauge.
Install wheel (2) on spindle (1) .
Install hub (8) on spindle (1) .

Install wheel (2) on spindle (5) .
Install locknut (3). Tighten locknut (3) until wheel (2) seizes.
Loosen locknut (3) .
