Use a suitable hoist and a suitable lifting sling in order to place steering cylinder (3) on Tooling (A). The weight of steering cylinder (3) is 105 kg (230 lb).

Use the hoist and Tooling (A) in order to lift steering cylinder (3) into position, as shown.

Note: Use two persons for the following steps.
Use one person in order to guide steering cylinder rod end (3) through the opening in the frame, as shown.
Use one person in order to guide the head end onto the frame, as shown.

Install Tooling (B) in order to support steering cylinder (3) .

Install pin (17), the bolt (16) and the washer.

Connect grease line (15) to steering cylinder (3) .

Connect hose assembly (14) .

Install bolt (12), the washer, and the clamp.
Connect tube assembly (13) .

Install bolt (10), the washer and the clip.

Remove Tooling (B) .

Use the machine's hydraulics in order to extend the steering cylinder rod.
Install pin (5), bolt (4) and the washer.

Install Tooling (A) under guard assembly (2) , as shown.
Carefully raise Tooling (A) in order to raise guard assembly (2) .
Install four bolts (1) and the washers.End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
