Information:

Do not remove any valve, hydraulic fitting or valve core, nor disassemble any parts until pressure has been released. Failure to release pressure can cause personal injury or death.
The following steps are to release the pressure in the system:a. Shut off engine.b. With operator in seat and bucket on ground, engage selector valve (pilot control) and actuate an implement control lever about ten times to release pressure in hydraulic system.c. Press the relief valve button on the hydraulic tank breather to release the tank pressure.
Hydraulic oil that is under pressure and hot can cause bodily injury. Move the control levers to relieve pressure in the hydraulic system. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
Mark and identify all hose assemblies for installation purposes. Cap and plug all hose assemblies to avoid system contamination. The 5130B Excavator has two sets of implement pumps. This procedure shows the removal & installation of the outboard hydraulic pump (implement) rear. This procedure can be used for the inboard hydraulic pump (implement) rear. 1. Position a suitable container under implement piston pump rear (2) to contain any hydraulic fluid for storage or disposal. Disconnect hose assembly (1) from implement piston pump rear (2). 2. Disconnect tube assembly (3) and the O-ring seal from the implement piston pump rear (2).
Located on the outboard side of the gear pump (pilot and air conditioner)3. To obtain clearance, disconnect hose assembly (6) from gear pump (pilot and air conditioner) (4). Remove pressure port and hose assembly (7), as a unit, from piston pump (radiator cooling) (5). 4. Disconnect chip detector wiring harness (8) at the electrical connection. 5. Remove tube assemblies (9) and (10) from implement piston pump rear (2). Disconnect hose assemblies (11) and (12) from implement piston pump rear (2). 6. Position two lifting slings around piston pump rear (2), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist. Remove four bolts (13) that hold implement piston pump rear (2) to the implement piston pump front (14). Remove implement piston pump rear (2) and the O-ring seal from implement piston pump front (14). The weight of the implement piston pump rear is 246 Kg (542 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the piston pump (implement) rear. Check all components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Apply 1U-6396 O-ring Compound to all O-ring seals prior to installation, if applicable. 7. Position two lifting slings around implement piston pump rear (2), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist. Put implement piston pump rear (2) and the O-ring seal in position on implement piston pump front (14). Install four bolts (13) that hold implement piston pump rear (2) to the implement piston pump front (14). The weight of the implement piston pump rear is 246 Kg (542 lb). 8. Connect hose assemblies (11) and (12) to implement piston pump rear (2). Install tube assemblies (9) and (10) to implement piston pump rear (2). 9.
