Pump compartment (6) Pilot filterA substantial portion of the oil delivery from the pilot pump flows into the hydraulic components through pilot filter (6). Part of the pilot pump oil flows directly to the front pump, the rear pump, and the swing pump. This portion of the oil controls the flow of these pumps when pump delivery pressure is lower than pilot system pressure.

Components of the pilot filter (6) Pilot filter (15) Relief valve (16) Filter elementFilter element (16) in pilot filter (6) removes contaminants from the pilot oil.Cold oil or contaminated oil may cause oil flow through filter element (16) to become restricted. If the flow through the filter element becomes restricted, the oil bypasses the filter element through relief valve (15). Relief valve (15) is built into filter (6).
