The fuel line clip mounting hardware needs to be changed to prevent interference with the engine ECM. This change will prevent the engine ECM from failing. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 21Aug2012 when scheduling this service.

Rework Procedure
1. Access the left side of the engine compartment. Remove the lower engine enclosure. See Image1.1.1.
2. Detail A in Image1.1.2 shows the location of the fuel line clip mounting hardware. Unfasten the 8T-5005 Bolt and hardware from the mounting bracket.
3. Remove the 039-8557 Spacer. The 8T-5005 Bolt and clips will be reused. See Image1.1.3.
4. Add the 198-4777 Spacer and 8T-4121 Washer and reassemble as shown in Image1.1.4. All machines will require the same hardware, except the ROPS mounted AC will use one additional clip. Tighten the 8T-5005 bolt to a torque of 55+/-10 Nm.
