Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Use Tooling (A) to remove engine oil filter (1). Remove bolts (3) and (4). Remove engine oil filter base (2) .

Remove O-ring seal (5) from bolt (3). Remove O-ring seal (6) from engine oil filter base (2) .Installation Procedure

Install O-ring seal (6) on engine oil filter base (2). Install O-ring seal (5) on bolt (3) .

Position engine oil filter base (2). Install bolts (3) and (4). Install engine oil filter (1) .
