Information:


The tracks will move during the procedure. Keep all personnel away from the machine during the procedure. Severe injury or death could result if someone was caught in the moving tracks.
Note: Ensure that all of the operating pressures are correct before you perform the hydrostatic speed test. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydrostatic and Implement Stall - Test". Failure to ensure that the operating pressures are correct could result in problems when you perform the hydrostatic speed test.The following test assumes that the ECM is set to the following parameters:
Maximum forward ground speed is 9.0 km/h (5.6 mph).
Reverse ground speed is 125% of forward ground speed.Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Configuration" for additional information regarding the checking of the maximum ground speeds and for additional information regarding the setting of the maximum ground speeds.
Enter the machine.
Fasten the seat belt.
Start the engine and run the engine at LOW IDLE.
Depress the service brake pedal.
Release the parking brake.
Release the service brake.
Select the highest maximum ground speed setting.
Increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Move the speed and direction control to the FORWARD position.
Check the following items.
Engine speed
Drive pressure for the front pump
Drive pressure for the rear pump
Speed of the left drive motor
Speed of the right drive motor
The engine speed should be 2350 100 rpm.
The drive pressure for the front pump at pressure tap "2"should be 7000 2000 kPa (1015 290 psi).
The drive pressure for the rear pump at pressure tap "1" should be 7000 2000 kPa (1015 290 psi).
The speed of the drive motors should be 3158 160 rpm for the following machines.
D3G: (JMH1-Up) and (BYR1-Up)
D4G: (TLX1-Up) and (HYD1-Up)The speed of the drive motors should be 3122 160 rpm for the following machines.
D5G: (WGB1-Up) and (RKG1-Up)
Subtract the speed of the right drive motor from the speed of the left drive motor. The difference between the two drive motors should be 0 to 40 rpm.
Move the speed and direction control to the NEUTRAL position and allow the tracks to come to a complete stop.
Move the speed and direction control to the REVERSE position.
Check the following items.
Engine speed
Drive pressure for the front pump
Drive pressure for the rear pump
Speed of the left drive motor
Speed of the right drive motor
The engine speed should be 2350 100 rpm for the following machines.
The drive pressure for the front pump at pressure tap "2" should be 7000 2000 kPa (1015 290 psi).
The drive pressure for the rear pump at pressure tap "1" should be 7000 2000 kPa (1015 290 psi).
The speed of the drive motors should be −3384 160 rpm for the following machines.
D3G: (JMH1-Up) and (BYR1-Up)
D4G: (TLX1-Up) and (HYD1-Up)The speed of the drive motors should be −3345 160 rpm for the following machines.
D5G: (WGB1-Up) and (RKG1-Up)
Subtract the speed of the right drive motor from the speed of the left drive motor. The difference between the two drive motors should be 0 to 40 rpm.
Move the speed and direction control to the NEUTRAL position.
Decrease the engine
