1. Drain all fluids as necessary. Remove the crankcase guards. Remove fan (1) and fan guard (2). 2. Disconnect oil lines (3) from top of the drive shaft housing. 3. Remove line (4) from scavenge pump and line (5) from bottom of flywheel housing. Loosen hose clamps and slide hose (6) out of the way. Disconnect and position drive shaft to the rear of vehicle, approximately 50.8 mm (2 in.). (See Drive Shaft Removal in the Power Train Disassembly and Assembly Manual). 4. Disconnect throttle linkage (7) and shut down cable (8). 5. Remove bolts (9) and remove rear support cap (10). Repeat for other side. 6. Remove bolts (11) on both sides of front support trunnion (12). Disconnect all air lines and wires.7. Attach hoist to engine, remove any and all remaining connections to the engine.8. Lift engine out toward front of vehicle. The weight of the engine is approximately 1361 Kg (3000 lbs.). The following steps are for installing the engine.9. Fasten a hoist to the engine and position engine on the rear supports and lower into position.10. Install bolts (11) on both sides of front support trunnion (12).11. Position rear support caps (10) and install bolts (9). Connect all air hoses and wires that were disconnected.12. Connect throttle linkage (7) and shutdown cable (8).13. Position drive shaft and connect. Slide hose (6) in position and tighten clamps. Connect line (5) and line (4).14. Connect oil lines (3).15. Install fan guard (2) and fan (1).16.
